Whether you've reached a 'brick wall' in your own research or just need some help getting started, contact us for a quote.
I undertake bespoke commissions for those requiring piecemeal research or professional assistance with documents in local archives.
Depending on your requirements it's usually most appropriate to commission a set number of hours, after which I will report back to you and we can decide the next steps. This client-led approach means that you can keep on top of costs and the direction the research takes.

Dorset History Centre
I am able to conduct research at the Dorset History Centre and can provide a research report and copies of documents on request. Please contact me for further details.
Additional Costs
In addition to research costs, I also charge for additional expenses as follows:

GRO certificates of birth, marriage and death (£9.25)

Post-1858 English & Welsh wills, grants of probate and administrations (£10)

Travel costs calculated by mileage

Photocopying as priced in the relevant archive or record office

Postage at standard Royal Mail rates

Printing at standard commercial rates
Terms of Payment
For commissions of £100 or lower full payment is required in advance of any research.
For commissions over £100, a 50% deposit is required when the order is made. Once research has been completed, we will invoice you for the final balance. On receipt of payment we will either email or post the research results to you.
I accept payments by cheque (UK clients only), bank transfer and credit card. Please make all cheques payable to “Luke Mouland.” Payments made by credit card via PayPal will incur a 5% surcharge to cover fees (a PayPal account is not required).
Kith & Kin Research retains the right to withhold all documents until full payment is received.
